Life was filled with regrets. Ask anyone around you their regrets is and they usually has no difficulty coming up with many items on their "Regre T list. " And for some reason our twenties is ripe for a field of regrets.

? Perhaps it ' s because as we get older we look back on that period of adulthood as the height of freedom and autonom Y. As move into middle-age, we-look-back and wish-we had made better choices and taken more opportunities. Here's a list of things that we regret isn't doing in our 20s.

- traveling More ( multi-travel )
I regret not travelling more, and so does nearly everyone that I had asked. Before kids, and mortgages and marriages when we commitments and expenses were lower, the opportunities for travel were Much greater, but for some reason many of us thought we'D always has time for travellater.
I regret not having traveled to more places, and almost everyone I have asked will say so. It's a great way to travel before you have children, before mortgages and before you get married, when we need to take responsibility and spend less, but for a variety of reasons, we always feel that we will have more time to travel in the future.
We dreamed of visiting the pyramids of Egypt, surfing off the Hawaiian coast, dining at a Parisian café, drinking espresso In Rome, trekking through the rainforest, and so much more. Sadly, many of us never made these journeys and the opportunity passed us by.

how many times have we kicked Ourselves for does starting our 401Ks in our twenties, for not putting we excess cash in long term investments, for not investing in OU R future early. No matter how much we try, we can never get back to the head start that we missed. Playing catch up in our " s and " s is very difficult.
How many times do we all wish to kick ourselves a foot: why not - we'll start . 401K (Small note: A pension system in the United States), why not invest excess cash in long-term investment, why not early investment for our future. No matter how hard we try, the missed time will never be over again. It is too late to catch up with us when we are forty or fifty years old.
- Being more responsible with spending ( a more reasonable arrangement of expenses )
in order to invest Retirement or save for that payment, we would has needed to make wiser financial spending choices. Things like buying or holding in to, perfectly reliable used car, instead of splurging on the new model ... because we could, eating out less and saving for a house instead, Buying fewer shoes and purses and clothes and paying off student loans sooner. So many saving opportunities lost, money spent on tangible things, instead of the "the future."
in order to retire from the investment or the house down payment, we need more reasonable financial management. Like buying a nice used car instead of wasting it on the new model ... we can also reduce eating out, save money to buy a house, buy fewer shoes and clothes, and pay off student loans in advance. So many savings opportunities have been missed, we have money for a lot of real things, but no more attention to our future.
- Better Planning ( better planning for Life )
i regret not focusing + on Where I wanted to go on life, what I wanted to does, who I wanted to IS and what it would take to get there. With some + planning in our twenties, we d is further ahead in we 40s and perhaps a bit happier as well.
I regret that I did not think carefully about the path of my life, what I wanted to do, what I wanted to be and how I could achieve it. If We can better plan our life at the age of five, we will be a higher level when we are at the age of nine, and maybe we will feel happier.

I wish I had learned to skis and paint, speak Italian and do the Tango. I regret not living somewhere else before settling down. Others has said they regret not pursuing their hobbies or learning to sky dive or mountain climb. I prefer to stay in the ground, but I don't regret not learning more, not trying new things that is hard-fit into the LIF E of a forty something working wife and mother.
I wish I had learned how to ski, paint, speak Italian and tango. I regret not having lived elsewhere before settling down. Many people are as sorry as I do not persevere to cultivate their hobbies, did not learn skydiving, did not go climbing. I really prefer to be pragmatic, but also regret not to learn more, not to try new things, these things can no longer fit into a full-time wife plus mother's life.

The bodies of youth is wasted on the ... I wish I had run a marathon before my knees ached, that I had biked more, hiked more, and took spinning classes when my Le GS were stronger. I regret not joining a softball team or volleyball league. We don ' t often realize that we had squandered our physical abilities until things start aching and creaking.
when we were young, we squandered our youthful vitality . I want to be able to run a marathon before my knee pain, ride a bike more, walk around, and ride a bike more when you are strong. I regret not attending softball clubs or volleyball leagues. We never realize the value of exercise when we are young when we wait for a physical overdraft.
- Making More Friends ( make more friends )
I regret not reaching out more, putting more effort to creating a tribe of support that would carry me through more diff Icult times. We socialize sure, but many of us don ' t put enough importance in building deep and lasting friendships. Some do, many don ' t and wish they had.
I regret no more to reach out, did not work harder to meet so many people can accompany me to spend more difficult time of friends. We do have social connections, but most people don't focus on building deeper, more lasting friendships. Some people do, but there are people who do not, they want to have worked for friendship.
- pursuing a more meaningful career ( pursuing a more meaningful career )
Many of us wish we had taken more career risks, opted for meaning over money, pursued the career path we wanted instead of What we were expected to does or simply following the path that is laid out before us. How much better to has explored our options and pursued meaningful work on our twenties than to has spent years doing Something we don ' t love.
Most people listen to the expectations of others to go to work or follow the paved road of others, rather than take more professional risks and follow our hearts to work to earn money. Compared to the years have been engaged in their own do not like the work, can be at the age of many years of their own choice and to pursue a more meaningful job is how good ah! ?
Life is good; Don ' t misunderstand. Few of us walk around every day pining for our youth, at least I hope not, but we did occasionally look back with a wistful Sigh and wish that we planned more, lived more, and stretched ourselves most when we are had the freedom and energy to does so.
There is no doubt that life is good. Few people walk around every day to remember our youth, but we do occasionally thoughtfully sigh and recall: how we hope that when our body and mind free and energetic, can have more plans, more way to expand themselves.
