Some users have reported that ADSL high-speed broadband network is sometimes not as fast as the original narrowband MODEM. So what are the main causes of slow Internet access? How can we quickly find and eliminate them?
1. There are too many protocols bound to the NIC.
Internet access is slow, which is common among LAN users because there are too many protocols bound to the NIC. If many protocols are bound to the network card, it takes a lot of time for the computer to determine which protocol is used for data transmission when data passes through the network card. In this case, the user will feel slow to access the Internet. Solution: enable one network adapter to only run the PPPOE protocol to connect to ADSL, provide external connections to the Internet, and the other network adapter to run other protocols of the LAN, so as to do their best to improve performance, in this way, the client's Internet access speed will be improved.
2. Poor heat dissipation of ADSL devices.
When the ADSL device is working, the heat is high. Usually, the heat dissipation is important. Many users put the ADSL equipment, routers, hubs, and so on in a single cabinet, and all kinds of equipment work with heat dissipation, this may affect the normal operation of ADSL. If the Internet connection is normal, the network speed drops in about five minutes, and the download speed is the same as that of the narrowband 56kMODEM, the device is very hot when you touch the device by hand. If you change to an ADSL device, the speed is up. Therefore, the microcomputer, ADSL and other equipment cannot be placed in the same cabinet, should be placed in a scattered manner, there is a ventilation and cooling channel between the equipment, the computer room is best to achieve constant temperature, the General Ambient temperature should be controlled at 10 ℃ ~ 30 deg C. The relative humidity is kept between 40% and ~ 70% is better.
3. An error occurred while accessing the Internet interface.
This is because the Internet Connection Wizard of Windows (Window Software) fails to access the Internet interface specified by IE. Enterhet300 (Virtual dialing software) uses Lan-type virtual dialing, internet Explorer uses normal dialing by default. During browsing, Internet Explorer first looks for the dialing interface. If no proxy server is found in the LAN after dialing, The Enternet300 interface will be found, so it will be very slow. You only need to re-run the Internet Connection Wizard, select the LAN mode and cancel the automatic search proxy server.
4. The system does not support multitasking.
If your computer just meets the minimum configuration, the system will not be able to browse the Web page, download software, and listen to music at the same time. When multiple tasks work at the same time, the Internet will feel slow. Therefore, it is better to have no more than two tasks at the same time.
5. No TCP/IP protocol is bound.
TCP (Transport Control Protocol)/IP (International Protocol) is not bound. Most of them are Nic drivers, Nic quality problems, and PCI (bus standard) slots. You should first Delete the NIC Driver in the Device Manager and then install the driver after restart. If not, change the NIC to a PCI slot, and you can change the NIC to another one.
6. Poor telephone line quality.
ADSL technology has high requirements on the quality of telephone lines. Currently, ADSL is a RADSL (rate-adaptive ADSL ), if the telephone line from the telephone Bureau to the user is disturbed by external factors for a certain period of time, RADSL dynamically adjusts the access speed of the user based on the quality of the line and the distance between transmission. If you are visiting a foreign site, the speed will be affected by factors such as the outbound bandwidth, the route of the other site, and the configuration of the device, which must be coordinated across the network. Main Line problems are: the construction standards are not followed during construction, and the hidden quality risks are left over. If no plastic casing is added, the mouse will break the line. The distribution frame or other materials may suffer poor connection due to quality problems; damaged indoor cables hidden during decoration.
7. The software has not been reset.
After you install ADSL Broadband, the Internet access conditions have changed, but the corresponding tools and software have not been reset, which is also one of the reasons for slow speed. For example, you need to set the communication software QQ. Select the "System Parameters" command from the QQ panel, click the "Network Settings" tab, and change the original "dial-up Internet" to "LAN access Internet.
8. computer hardware and software problems.
Hardware faults mainly occur when the user's network card is damaged or improperly installed. The user's computer board is incompatible with the network card. The user's computer grade is too low and the memory is small, leading to slow operation. For example, if the hardware is configured with 600/64 MB memory and Windows XP, the computer runs slowly and the Internet access speed cannot be high. Software faults mainly occur when users do not know the computer knowledge and are using the software incorrectly. As a result, the user cannot access the Internet due to an operating system error or dial-up software damage. If the user does not perform the operation correctly, the dial-up software is disabled illegally, software error occurs. When a user browses some web pages, the system encounters a problem and accidentally deletes the backup dialing software during processing. When the user's microcomputer encounters a problem, the dialing software is not installed after the system is reinstalled. All these problems can be solved by re-installing the dial-up software.
