Nowadays, computer viruses are emerging one after another, even the vast number of computer users have almost reached the level of "Talking about changing the color of drugs. Jiang Min's technical engineers found that many users do not know much about the files in the operating system, which leads to various doubts.

The following files are frequently suspected to be virus files:

1. Thumb. DB File

The thumb. DB file is mistaken by users for three reasons:

1. This file exists in some folders with images in the operating system;

2. Even if this file is deleted, it will still be generated when the folder is opened next time;

3. The file may increase continuously.

Actually, thumb. DB files are available in Windows ME or later Windows versions. This is the cache for images in Windows (or cached files). It allows you to preview images with more images, this file may be larger, which is normal. In Windows XP, you can select "Do not cache thumbnails" in "Folder Options" to avoid such files.

Ii. mfm1992 file or "mfm1992.avb. AVB (Suffix: Infinite AVB )"

The main reason why the mfm1992 file user mistakenly believes it is a virus is that the file may be generated in any folder and may be regenerated after deletion.

Mfm1992 is a file generated by an error in the intelligent ABC dictionary. Due to the limited dictionary capacity of the smart ABC input method, this file will be generated when the dictionary capacity is exceeded. CurrentProgramThe directory in which the file runs is generated in the directory. The file size is usually 43kb. This is a bug in smart abc4.0. The smart abc5.0 in Win2000 and me has fixed this bug.

There are two ways to stop this file from appearing in the computer:

1. You can upgrade 4.0 smart ABC to the latest version.

2. You can delete the *. Rem file in the WINDOWS \ SYSTEM directory and restart the computer.

3. Temporary Word Files

When you open a Word document, you will find a file named "$" in the same directory, its icons are the same as those in Word documents, but they are "gray" (that is, they have hidden properties ). Many users think it is a virus.

In fact, this is a normal phenomenon. This file is generated by word and can be understood as a buffer file. Its function is to save it to the maximum extent due to unexpected reasons (such as sudden crashes) the loss caused by users when the modified or created Word documents are not saved. In fact, this file will automatically disappear after the word document is closed, so you don't have to worry about it.

42.16jdbgmgr.exe File

Unlike the above files, this file is a normal system file instead of a file generated when an error occurs or a temporary file. The user did not notice it because it exists in the system directory. However, many users think it is a virus because a Fraudulent email is sent around the Internet. The encapsulated e-mail is a virus bulletin board that sends alerts to users who receive the mail. The file named "jdbgmgr.exe" is a virus that can damage the entire computer system two weeks after being infected with the PC.
