After Lingling bought the computer, she learned a lot and learned some basic knowledge and operation skills. Many of her colleagues called her for advice! However, many questions are unclear, and the phone number is not clear for a long time. It would be much better if I could look at the picture for comparison.
Lingling once again found the free brother. After hearing her thoughts, the free man's brother replied, "It's easy to just take a screenshot of the current screen. However, when saving files, you need to have a certain understanding of the image format. I will give you a full explanation ."
I. screenshot and image format knowledge
1. screenshot operation guide
"The most common method to capture the current computer screen is to press the Printscreen key on the keyboard (figure 1 ). Open any image processing software, create a new file, select "Paste" in the menu or right-click options, and the screen will be displayed (Note that if the image processing software is used, do not open the Notepad program to paste it ).
Figure 1
"Commonly used image processing software includes Windows built-in drawing programs and well-known PhotoShop programs. Click Start> program> attachment> drawing (Figure 2) to create a new file, select Paste in the editing area, or press Ctrl, you can also press the V Key (Figure 3 ).

Figure 3
"NOTE: Printscreen captures all the current full screen images. Sometimes, several levels of menus are displayed in a program. If you only need the screen of a certain dialog box, you can activate the screen (put it at the beginning and it is selected), press the Alt key, then press Printscreen, and paste it into the drawing program."
"Why do I want to use the Printscreen key you introduced to take screenshots when I watch a movie ?"
"That's because Windows uses the Direct X drawing mode for dynamic video files, which is different from static images. In general, unless the playback software itself supports screenshot function, you need to use special software such as HyperSnap (: html/1/1/d1_581&dltypeid=1&pn;0&.html "> http://dl.pconline.com.cn/html/1/1/dlid=581&dltypeid=1&pn=0&.html) and so on (for specific operations, refer to the help documentation for such software ).
"If you have installed more than two types of playing software on your computer, you can use another method: open a player, play any file, pause, and do not disable it, then open another player and play the video file you want. You can use the Printscreen or Alt + Printscreen key to directly intercept the video file. The subsequent Pasting and other operations are the same as described above ."
"Why is this special operation required ?"
"Because the first playback software calls the Direct X plotting function and does not close the function, the second playback software is enabled again, and Windows cannot use the Direct X method. In this case, the image can be captured in normal mode ."
2. Basic image format knowledge
After the image is captured, we will save the file. Images can be transmitted to netizens only after they are saved as files. For example, in PhotoShop, we can see multiple storage formats (figure 4 ). Of course, the most common one is to save the file in JPG format. It is called Joint Photograhic Experts Group. It compresses the image in a distorted way. The compression ratio is usually ~ 40: 1. Such images occupy a small amount of space and are suitable for network transmission.
Figure 4
Other common formats include:
TIFF Format: the extension is TIF, and the full name is Tagged Image File Format. It is a non-distortion compression format that can maintain the color and level of the original image, but it occupies a lot of space. A 2 million-pixel image occupies about 6 MB of storage capacity. Therefore, TIFF is often used for professional purposes, such as book publishing and posters, and is rarely used on the Internet.
BMP format: Short for Bitmap. It is a standard image file format in Windows and is widely used with the popularity of Windows. This is the default storage format of the built-in "Drawing" program in Windows. It contains complete image information, but occupies a large disk space.
There are many other image formats, such as FPX, RAW, and TGA, which are applied in printing, photography, and other fields respectively. There are not many opportunities in daily life, which is of little significance to beginners, I will not list them one by one.
"Oh, that's it! We should choose the JPG format to save it, right ?"
"Yes, JPG is usually selected, and images in other formats can also be saved as JPG to reduce the size. When saving JPG files, professional software such as PhotoShop usually has an image quality grade for you to choose from (Figure 5). If you only want to send a picture to the other party and do not want to pursue accurate results, usually choose 3 ~ 5 files; if you want to maintain the original image style, you need to select 7 ~ Only 10 files can ensure image clarity. The lower the level, the smaller the volume, the smaller the disk space occupied, and the faster the network transmission.
Figure 5
"So I still see some animated emoticon icons on the Internet. What is the format ?"
"This is called the GIF image format. It combines several to dozens of images into a file. After opening the file, it is played as a slide to achieve dynamic results. During the compression process, the pixel data of the image will not be lost, but the color will be lost. The GIF format can only store up to 256 colors, so it is usually used to display simple graphics and fonts. Generally, do not use PhotoShop, drawing, or other programs to edit GIF files. Otherwise, the files will become static images after being stored. To maintain the dynamic effect, you should use specialized GIF editing software, such as Advanced GIF Animator (: http://dl.pconline.com.cn/html/1/8/dlid=10558&dltypeid=1&pn=0&.html) and so on for processing ."
Ii. wallpaper and commonly used image watching Software
1. Knowledge about wallpaper settings
"A free man's brother asked me why the old wallpaper didn't appear instead of the new one when she started Windows 98 After setting the wallpaper, and then refresh the new one?"
"This is because you have used a JPG-format wallpaper, and the Web method is used for Windows 98 desktop. Windows 98 does not support the Web function well, so this situation may occur. As long as the JPG format is converted to BMP, it can be directly loaded. In Windows 2000 and XP, this situation has been improved and no special conversion format is required ."
2. Browsing software recommendation and batch conversion formats
"Oh, it seems that there are a lot of knowledge in the image format! So I have collected a lot of images. What kind of browsing and management is better ?"
"I recommend using ACDSee software (: http://dl.pconline.com.cn/html/1/1/dlid=1&dltypeid=1&pn=0&.html), which not only can be used in full screen, playback slides and other ways to view images, but also can bulk conversion of image formats, select the file you want to convert the format, click the tool option, and click "Convert image format" (Figure 6). The menu will pop up to show you the format you want to generate, after the selection, click OK to start the conversion (figure 7 ). There are many other practical functions that are easy to use. You can learn them by yourself ."

Figure 7
"Well, I will be able to explain the operation essentials to my friends over images. Today I also learned how to manage image files. I am also a small expert! Haha, thank you, free man ."
