emule How to save a corrupted download file

Always remember to back up your files before you change or fix them!

For a variety of reasons, there will always be a corrupted download file, and you may need to download the Sf-iom mod to do the work in accordance with this guide. Download the MoD's compressed package and unzip it to a location on your hard disk.

Start the download task in Sf-iom using the link just now. , you should pause the task immediately after the download task, because you will not really want to download the entire file again. You can also view the. part.met file number corresponding to the task by using the emule option settings, by right-clicking the file-> clicking "Show Details"-> viewing the Part.met file. You can now exit Sf-iom, and you can delete the. part.met file and the. part file that you just created from the new download. Rename the old (that is, the corrupted download). Part file to the new. Part file (for example, 001.part). Now restart Sf-iom and the MoD will ask if you want to resume the download and click "Yes". A new complete. part.met file is now generated.

Let Sf-iom start downloading files

When you start downloading files in Sf-iom, the MoD completes tasks that are not available in the following emule official edition:

1. Request the hashset of the complete file individually to other users until a user agrees to send the available hashset.

2. After receiving valid HashSet, hash the entire file and detect which blocks of files have been completed and which blocks are missing or corrupted. The hash verifies the successful file block share.

Continue downloading

After completing the above steps, you can save the previously damaged download file, you can continue downloading with sf-iom, of course, you can continue to download with your usual emule client.

Saving a corrupted download file in this way has a great advantage in getting a backup of all the. part.met files in the. Part.met index, so once a download file has a problem, just start the Sf-iom and click "Yes" when it asks if you want to recover the download file.
