Summary:

Of course, you should pay attention to the specific operations.

The shortcut keys for entering the BIOS for different boards are different from those for adjusting the ahci In the BIOS. You can refer to the user manual attached to the motherboard for confirmation.

In general, the hard disk ide mode is enabled by default in bios, and ahci is short for the advanced host controller interface, which is an Intel-dominated technology, it can increase the speed of the SATA hard disk to a certain extent. We recommend that you enable it.

In Windows Vista SP1 and later versions, after the hard disk is changed to ahci mode in bios, the system automatically installs the driver. However, if you are using an OS earlier than Vista SP1, You need to manually load the ahci driver through the installation disc of the Windows system when starting the computer. If you do not have a Windows installation CD, first switch back to the IDE mode, start the computer, download and install the ahci driver, and then enter the BIOS to change the hard disk to the ahci mode.
