The requirement for improving the real-time performance of the credit control system is "effective. However, with the complexity and gradual improvement of the carrier's billing data model, defects such as "lack of uniform data model descriptions", "fewer tariff packages", and "inflexible tariff methods" are becoming increasingly prominent. At the same time, the maintenance cost of the intelligent network users is much higher than the average maintenance cost of the users in the offline billing system. It also becomes the real-time credit control of the intelligent network mode, which is hard to erase. Another method is "quasi-real-time billing. This method reduces the generation and collection cycle of billing records, and quickly calculates and accumulates the price based on the powerful computing capability of the billing host to achieve "quasi-real-time" credit control. This method has the advantages of low cost, uniform, flexible billing model, and easy rollback mechanism. However, "quasi-real-time billing" does not communicate with the business control module in real time, it can only be regarded as one of the "offline billing" methods, and cannot fundamentally solve the real-time problems of credit control and billing.
The introduction of the OCS billing Framework puts forward the re-Revision of the billing boundary between the BSS and the OSS within a feasible scope. One of the important boundary is billing control and the demarcation of the connection boundary. The previous SCP included both the billing control and billing parts into the intelligent network. However, it is pointed out in the OCS framework that the billing control part will be migrated from OSS to BSS, and users' billing data will be migrated from OSS to BSS, so as to achieve a complete shared data view (SID ), provides the possibility. through migration, the billing process participates in the control process of the business control module in real time. The low-cost offline billing system is used for real-time credit control, which truly realizes online billing.
Second, OCS not only solves the problem of real-time credit control, but also the billing features of OCS will bring new business experiences to the telecom industry and even a wider range of groups.
At the technical level, after the OCS framework is fully introduced, the transformation and upgrade of the Telecom manufacturer's Network Element equipment will reduce the coupling degree with the Business Support System (BSS. Although the OCS framework directly involves changes to the interface-to-end system, the upgrade and change of the Network Element equipment uses open and standard transmission protocols, instead of complex and diverse file formats such as the current one, the interface verification work will be standardized and streamlined. The system coupling between the two ends of the interface, because of the openness of the Protocol, it will be much lower than the current status.
At the business level, the construction and establishment of the Network Element equipment of the Telecom manufacturer will indirectly contact the end user through the BSS system, and the user will define and freely use the current large-scale communication network, unlike now, users can only focus on the signal strength level for telecom networks.
Based on the analysis and consideration of the above two layers of technology and business, the OCS soft project team analyzed and attempted to implement the OCS system framework, on the basis of implementing the original business, it has created many exciting new business implementations, such as a personalized credit control system, service quality system, and service customization system.
