Enterprise Router China Telecom Netcom dual-line access server load balancer settings

Gamers of online games know that using the telecom line to go to the Netcom game server will be a "card" (high latency), and vice versa, using the Netcom line to go to the telecom game server will also be "card ", the reason is the access bottleneck between China Telecom and China Netcom. To solve this problem, you can select a multi-WAN port router and connect to the dual-line router at the same time. The server load balancer function of the router can meet the needs of different online game players.

This article will take the TL-ER5120 as an example to show the ISP load balancing configuration process.

[Internet cafe requirements]

An Internet cafe hosts about 120 sets, introduced the telecommunications and Netcom optical fiber each 10 M, now need to use TL-ER5120 to achieve all the traffic to the telecommunications server network to the Telecommunications line, all traffic destined for the Netcom server goes through the Netcom line.

Step 1: configure parameters

1. Set the router to dual-WAN port mode (TL-WVR300 default dual-WAN port, no need to change)

Interface settings> WANPort mode:"Set WAN port mode to "dual WAN port" to save. After the configuration is complete, the first two interfaces (from left to right) on the front panel of the router are the two WAN ports of the router.

2. Set WAN port network parameters and upstream/downstream bandwidth

Interface settings> WANPort settings:"Set the network parameters of the WAN port and the upstream and downstream bandwidth values of the line in WAN1 settings and WAN2 settings.

Step 2: balanced configuration

1. Enable smart balancing

Traffic balancing>Comprehensive settingsPage: Enable "Special Application Routing" and "smart balancing"

2. Enable ISP routing

Traffic balancing>ISPRoute selectionPage: Enable "ISP routing ". TL-ER5120 is embedded with ISP database, enable ISP routing function, access to the telecommunications site traffic forwarded by the Telecommunications line, access to the Netcom site traffic forwarded by the Netcom line, can improve the access speed.
