Install Eclipse multi-country Language Pack
- Download the corresponding Language pack of Eclipse3.6, decompress the downloaded Language Pack (ZIP file), and name it Language. Everything in Eclipse is a plug-in, and the Language Pack is also a plug-in, so the installation method is, of course, the installation method of the plug-in, in the three plugin installation methods (Link-based plug-in installation, copy-based plug-in installation [install XMLBuddy], and URL-based plug-in installation [install Log4E, next, use the link Method to install the Eclipse multi-country Language Pack.
- Create a Directory D: \ SOFT \ java \ Graduation \ Eclipse \ extend-plugins for storing eclipse plug-ins,
Copy the extracted language folder to this folder.
That is, D: \ SOFT \ java \ Graduation \ Eclipse \ eclipse \ extend-plugins \ language.
- Create the link folder of the Language Pack, that is, D: \ SOFT \ java \ Graduation \ Eclipse \ eclipse \ links.
Create a language. link file in this folder.
Enter
Note: path writing
(1) path = D: \ SOFT \ java \ Graduation \ Eclipse \ eclipse \ extend-plugins \ language (with oblique) or path = D: \ SOFT \ java \ Graduation \ Eclipse \ eclipse \ extend-plugins \ language (absolute path)
(2) path = language (use relative path)
Restart Eclipse. during startup, all text files in the links directory will be searched, and the plug-in pointing to path will be registered in Eclipse, select the "Help> dynamic help" command on the main menu to see that the help is already in Chinese.
Summary:
(1) The link file must be valid in the links directory, and the links directory must be created in the eclipse installation directory. (2)linkfile name can be retrieved, either. txt or. ini format, but must be a text file. (3) A link file can set the path of multiple plug-ins (each path is divided into one line), or each plug-in can create a link file. I prefer the latter method because it is more convenient to uninstall the plug-in. Just delete the link file. (4) If eclipse is not successful, check whether there is an eclipse subdirectory under the Language Pack plug-in path; whether the Language Pack Version is consistent with the eclipse version; whether the path set in the link file is correct; whether the Windows operating system is a Chinese version. (5) After the Language Pack is installed, if some English words are not translated into Chinese, this can be the interference caused by the cache generated when the English version of eclipse was started. The solution is to add the clean parameter eclipse.exe-clean when starting eclipse.
Enter D: \ SOFT \ java \ Graduation \ Eclipse \ eclipse \ eclipse.exe-clean in the running process.
(6) How can we restore eclipse from the Chinese version to the English version? Eclipse loads the plug-in based on the plug-in path set in the link file. Therefore, deleting or renaming the links directory or deleting the link file corresponding to the Language Pack can make eclipse unable to find the Language Pack plug-in at startup, in this way, the English version of eclipse is restored. If an error dialog box is displayed during the first startup, restart it. (If the startup fails, eclipse will automatically clear D at the next startup: the plug-ins in the \ SOFT \ java \ Graduation \ Eclipse \ eclipse \ configurationdirectory are saved slowly. You can also use eclipse.exe-clean to clear the cache.
(7) Some plug-ins have strong version dependencies on eclipse, which must be noted. For example, the eclipse3.2.1 Language Pack cannot contain eclipse3.0. For a plug-in with strong version dependency, the eclipse version applicable to the plug-in and the version of the plug-in dependent on other plug-ins are displayed on its download page.
