Error message:
Use ArcMap to load data in SDE (Data Space reference is unkown). When moving out of the current view window, the following error occurs: one or more layers failed to draw: the specified coordinate exceeds the valid coordinate range.
Cause:
Domain settings, data is set according to the domain of the Space reference by default when importing SDE. Because the original SHP file space reference is unkown, domain is set according to the data extent during the import. Therefore, an error is returned when a slight movement In ArcMap is beyond the domain range, and the SHP file does not have domain restrictions, so no error is reported.
Solution:
When importing the SHP file into SDE, click environment settings under that dialog box, and then set output XY domain in the Geodatabase settings column, you can open the SHP file and increase the value based on its extent. It is best to set the domain of the relevant data in the same way; or create a featureclass in SDE (the default domain is large ), load the data in.
