Error C3861: "InitializeCriticalSectionAndSpinCount": identifier not found

VS2003 Project converted to VS2010 after compiling error

Error C3861: "InitializeCriticalSectionAndSpinCount": identifier not found

Navigate to the Atlcore.h file, this is the system file without making any changes, should not be wrong. It is primarily a version compatibility issue.

Modification Method:

Create a new targetver.h header file, and copy the following code:

#pragma once

//Including SDKDDKVer.h defines the highest available Windows platform.

//If you wish to build your application for a previous Windows platform, include WinSDKVer.h and
//Set the _WIN32_WINNT macro to the platform your wish to support before including SDKDDKVer.h.

#include <SDKDDKVer.h>

Then in stdafx.h top of the project added  include" Targetver.h ".

Recompile.
