Error during MySQL installation in Ubuntu: No curses/termcap librar

Source: Internet
Author: User

When I installed MySQL in Ubuntu today, I typed it in the command line. after the/configure -- prefix =/usr/local/MySQL Command is run, the system prompts No curses/termcap library found after the configuration is successful, so I couldn't continue to configure it, so I tried to find out how to install MySQL on the Internet, but the installation method was the same for everyone. Then I finally understood, the original Ubuntu does not install the libncurses5-dev, you need to install it on, you can. Here is what I found online:

When using ubuntu to compile some files, the system prompts "No curses/termcap library found". This prompt indicates that the termcap library file is missing.

To solve this problem, run the following command to install

Sudo apt-get install libncurses5-dev

Then re-compile the file.
