The use of the OSPF Protocol requires that all devices use Cisco products, which greatly increases the cost of device procurement. So till now, the reason that the system cannot be widely used is also restricted by product monopoly. The performance of IS-IS sufficient to adapt to the national network interconnection project of IT training centers of Rongxin foreign companies. However, because IS-IS was originally an ISO standard protocol, it was designed for CLNS, later, we added support for IP addresses.
At the beginning, OSPF was designed by IETF for IP networks. Therefore, there IS still much room for development and improvement in the support for IP networks. OSPF is specially designed for IP addresses. It is more suitable for IP address routing. It is mature and has a high degree of standardization. It supports many vendors and has many disadvantages, such as exposure and improvement. Therefore, the OSPF routing protocol is already quite complete.

In fact, not only does the project adopt OSPF routing protocol as the dynamic routing protocol for networking, but OSPF routing protocol is almost the most widely used Routing Protocol in similar projects.
