/etc/fstab file Error, unable to enter Linux system

Problem Description

Today review the Linux file System management, after the Linux system mounted a new hard disk, and then partition, format, step by step down, in order to enable the hard disk to automatically mount the system boot, so it was written to the/etc/fstab file, however, after reboot, Linux system does not start normally, the system shows the same situation (because at that time rush to deal with the fault, so did not, later on the internet to find a few pictures, a general record of their processing ideas)

According to the system prompts, it can be seen that the real reason the system can not start is/etc/fstab to write wrong, the system boot report checking filesystems failure, at this time, according to the system prompts, enter the root password into the repair filesystem mode

Repair Process
Attempt to modify/etc/fstab discovery System is read-only mode

Mount-o REMOUNT,RW/#以可读写方式重新挂载文件系统

Re-Modify the/etc/fstab, modify the mistake, [note that the latest CentOS version is no longer supported in this way to write the label, more information please see the address given below this blog]

Then restart the system using the reboot command

OK, repair success!

SummaryThe above problem occurs because the/etc/fstab file was incorrectly configured, and the volume label (/other) was not recognized when the system was restarted, resulting in a failure to start normally. If after modifying the/etc/fstab file, run the mount-a command to verify that the configuration is correct, you can avoid such problems.
The fix for the problem applies not only to the problem described above, but also to other issues that the system cannot start because of the misconfiguration of the configuration.
such as:/etc/passwd file error,/etc/shadow file error, etc...

During the resolution of the problem, re-mount/is a more critical step (mount-o REMOUNT,RW/). Without this step, the file system is in a read-only state, causing the configuration file to be modified and saved.
