The preceding section describes how to install a wireless bridge. Is the installation correct? This requires a test of the installed wireless bridge. The specific wireless bridge test process is as follows.

1. Initial Configuration of the Wireless Bridge Test System

Basic Function of DCOM-NWH6110 Wireless Bridge: bridge function. Before installation, use a test antenna and complete the configuration in the indoor environment to ensure that the system runs normally.

1.1 Wireless Bridge Test Configuration Tool

The following test tools and accessories are recommended:

◆ Laptop/500 MHz Pentium III Processor/Windows 2000/64 mb ram/10 BaseT Ethernet Card/RJ45 Cross network cable

◆ Test Antenna

If the Ethernet card is a 10/100 BaseT card, set it to 10 BaseT.

1.2 procedure for testing and configuring a Wireless Bridge

1) Cross Ethernet connection PC and DCOM-NWH6110 Ethernet interface.

2) connect to the antenna feeder system.

3) DCOM-NWH6110 system power-on.

4) run the DCOM-NWH6110 Configuration tool.

1.3 preparation of Wireless Bridge Testing System

2. System Configuration

A bridge configuration:

1) set the IP address to 10.10.201 subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 gateway is the default
 
2) Set Wireless Parameters

3) In the Bridge Mode project, enter the MAC address of the Peer B Bridge.

Bridge B Configuration:
 
1) set the IP address to 10.10.202.

2) In the wireless parameter settings project, enter name 2, and the other is the same as. Note: The SSID and Channel of the two bridges must be consistent.

3) In the Bridge Mode project, enter the MAC address of the Peer A Bridge.
 
Note: You can perform encryption and other security settings as needed.

Machine Settings

1) configure PC #1 10.10.10.203 255.255.255.0

2) configure PC #2 10.10.10.204 255.255.255.0

3) run the ping command to check whether the configuration is correct.
 
4) The bridge function has been prepared

3. engineering installation and RF environment diagnosis and adjustment

Establish a ping session between PC #1 and PC #2 to test the packet delay of 32 bytes, 64 bytes, 500 bytes, 1500 bytes, and 5000 bytes respectively.

4. throughput Test

4.1 Test Description

The purpose of this test is to test the throughput of the DCOM-NWH6110 Wireless Bridge

4.2 Wireless Bridge Test Configuration

◆ Laptop/500 MHz Pentium III Processor/Windows 2000/64 mb ram/10 BaseT pcmcia nic/RJ45 crossover cable
 
The following test software is recommended:

◆ 20Mbytes to 200Mbytes test file file1

4.3 Test Procedure

1. Configure NWH6110 and assign an IP address to the RF channel

2. Connect PC #1 and PC #2 and configure the IP address

3. Run and install NetStat Live on PC #2.

4. Establish an FTP session between PC #1 and PC #2
