Examples of using mahout in Hadoop clusters

Install Mahout

Download Mahout

CD $HOME
wget Http://archive.apache.org/dist/mahout/0.7/mahout-distribution-0.7.zip
Unzip Mahout-distribution-0.7.zip
LN-SNF mahout-distribution-0.7 mahout-current
Append environment variables to. BASHRC

#编辑vim ~/.BASHRC Append the following content.
Export Mahout_home=${home}/mahout-current
Test Mahout

Download Test files

wget Http://archive.ics.uci.edu/ml/databases/synthetic_control/synthetic_control.data
Set up test directories and upload test files

Hadoop Fs-mkdir TestData
Hadoop fs-put Synthetic_control.data testdata
To run a mahout task. After the job is submitted, Mahout runs a bunch of Hadoop mapreduce tasks, which takes about a few minutes.

Hadoop jar ${home}/mahout-current/mahout-examples-0.7-job.jar Org.apache.mahout.clustering.syntheticcontrol.kmeans.Job
