The method described in this article is limited to the simplest diagonal header, a diagonal header with only two headings.

Technical Highlights: Use the Borders tab in the Format Cells dialog box to set a slash, and use the Alignment tab to adjust the text position with the SPACEBAR.

The specific steps are as follows.

1. Click the A1 cell in the worksheet, enter the contents of the slash header, such as the two headings "project name" and "date" in this example, enter "project name" first, then press the shortcut key to ALT + ENTER, so that you can wrap within the cell, press ALT + ENTER once, and enter date.

2. Press CTRL + ENTER so that you can select the cell without leaving the cell. The cell should be as shown in Figure 1.

3. Press the shortcut key ctrl+1 to open the Format Cells dialog box. (You can also open the dialog box if you right-click on the cell and choose the command "format Cells" from the shortcut menu that pops up, but it's quicker to use shortcut keys.) )

4. In the Format Cells dialog box, click the Borders tab, and then click the left Slash button as shown in Figure 2.

6. Observe the text in the header, obviously the location of the project name is not very appropriate. Double-click the A1 cell, position the insertion point to the left of the project name, and press the spacebar two times to make the item name position to the right. Press CTRL + ENTER to leave the edit state and select the A1 cell, and if you find that the project name is wrapped, you can adjust the width of the column to fit it so that you can adjust the line width to fit the size of the table head. Of course, you can also change the size of the text in the header. Finally we can get the header slash effect shown in Figure 5.
