Excel2007 use drag-and-drop to copy or move cells or ranges
Excel also allows you to copy or move a cell or range by dragging and dropping. However, be aware that drag-and-drop does not place any information on the Windows Clipboard and Office Clipboard.
Use the Options button when inserting and pasting
Some cell, lattice, and area operations (especially by dragging inserts, pastes, and fills cells) can result in a pop-up option button. Click the Options button to display the selection to complete the insert or paste, such as whether to keep the original formatting of the copied content. For example, if you copy an area and then paste it to a different bit straight, the Paste Options button appears in the lower-right corner of the pasted area. Click the Paste Options button to see the detailed options for pasting.
Some users find these option buttons very inconvenient, some users will find that they are helpful {I belong to the former). To close these buttons, select Office Button 1: Compete for Excel options and click the Advanced option, and then clear the Mark Show Paste Options button and Show Insert Options button The check pivot.
Note: The move drag-and-drop method is really better than the cut and paste method, and Excel warns if the drag-and-drop move will overwrite the existing cell contents. However, a drag-and-drop copy operation will overwrite the existing cell contents without warning.
To use drag-and-drop replication, select the cell or range you want to copy, and then press the CTRL key and move the mouse over the border of one of the options (the mouse pointer expands to a small plus sign), and then continue holding down the CTRL key to drag the options to the new location. The original option is still in place, and Excel copies a new content when you release the mouse button. To use drag-and-drop to move an area, you do not need to press the CTRL key when you drag the border.
Tip: If the mouse pointer does not become an arrow when you point to a cell or range border, you need to change the alignment. You need to access the Excel Options dialog box, click the Advanced option in the list on the left, and check the box labeled Enable fill handle and lamb Wenge drag-and-drop.
