If the data is more valuable than the hard disk, I will let the user spend money to find a professional; if the BIOS does not recognize the hard disk, then I can't help it. The process is as follows: First, first use the original factory tools, such as DM, to "clear" the hard disk, "low" and so on. This solution has the following advantages: first, after all, the factory tool is safer, and second, DM may solve minor problems, third, some hard disk repair software won't even recognize the original manufacturer's tools, so it's too late to remember the original manufacturer's tools. After the above processing, use other software, the hard disk repair time will be greatly shortened. Because some software, viruses, or abnormal shutdown may mark some areas of the hard disk as "bad". When these bad clusters are connected together, they are directly processed with other software, it may take more time than you think. I once met a hard disk where about 10 MB of bad clusters are connected, and tens of thousands of Bad Clusters exist. hddreg and mhdd process hundreds of hard disks in an hour, how long does it take you to calculate it? After using DM, we can use other software to fix the problem. We can no longer see bad clusters in this zone. The entire hard disk is only a few hundred, which is much faster to fix. Second, use the repair software. Hddreg, mhdd, and Fb are both easy to find and use. Hddreg installation is annoying. I use version 131 to install it on the hard disk. Download from some websites. During installation, you will be asked to download a new installer from the official website. After installation, create a floppy disk and then use it to repair the hard disk. It is best to copy several more floppy disks because the floppy disks often read and write data. If there are many bad clusters and the number of floppy disk reads and writes increases greatly, it is easy to break the floppy disk. The software can be used in windows and DOS, and you can decide the MB to start processing, but you cannot decide where to end. You can decompress mhdd and Fb directly, but it can only be used in DOS. You can also copy the two to a floppy disk, which is only a few hundred kb in total. In terms of usage, both FB and hddreg are easy to use. When you start them, the hard disks in the computer will be listed. You only need to select the hard disk to be repaired and press enter to automatically complete it. When FB ends, it will automatically hide the Bad Sectors of your hard disk and partition them. However, you can pick up four blocks and use them to ask if you agree. You can choose "Y ", it is equivalent to fdisk once, but it must be formatted after the computer is restarted. (Note: when there are many bad sectors on the hard disk, the capacity of your hard disk will be greatly reduced. I tried to use it to repair a GB hard disk and a GB hard disk, as a result, only GB is available, and only MB is available .) Mhdd is a bit annoying, but has the most features. At startup, it lists some parameter commands and then waits for you to enter the command. Press the F2 key to set the hard disk, press the F4 key to set the interface parameters, the default is off, that is, only scan without repair, the speed is faster. You can also set where to start and where to end. The remap (bad track ing) and loop the test/repair (loop/repair, that is, the repair is done once again until you stop it !) Set it to on and then press F4. You can press the keyboard arrow to move in or out. When it works, it will show you a Scandisk similar to MS, which is intuitive, so that you can know the quality of the hard disk. Before using these software, you must first disable the BIOS virus function and hard disk write protection. FB will damage the data, while mhdd and hddreg will only damage the data in the bad partition. There will also be "fights" between them. This is OK, and that is wrong. The above software is hard to say which one is the best. Software hard drive repair takes a long time, and three or two hours is common. If the hard disk is not very important and there are too many bad sectors on the hard disk, I will start the software at night, turn off the monitor, go to bed, and wake up tomorrow morning. If you don't want the hard disk to ring for several hours, you can exit every hour (you can press Ctrl + break to exit halfway, but exit if you don't finish it, the next time you boot the operating system, the system will report that the hard disk has been repaired for an error and scan it. you can press the X key to exit.) Remember the location and shut down, let it rest for 10 minutes and continue to repair from where it was stopped. If it is not finished today, it can continue tomorrow (but FB does not seem to have this function ). If you are not satisfied with the use of the FB partition, you can use diskgenius or PQ to merge the partitions. However, if the bad sectors are used with DG, it will be too annoying. PQ will also report a hard disk error. If the capacity loss is not big, wait until FB completes. Appendix: 1. workflow: General hard drive: DM (clear, low) → FB.
