Experience the new Code sense: Ten Programming fonts

Source: Internet
Author: User

Fonts are not a special case of web pages or designs, and some of the various editors used in everyday programming use fonts that are not commonly used, which makes programmers feel better when they write code, and this article recommends 10 types of English fonts that are commonly used in program development editors.

Writing code day after day, there is no feeling of aesthetic fatigue? Maybe a little bit of change will make us feel better.

Change a programming Font! Experience a new sense of code.

The following ten programming fonts in my eyes:

Courier

Basically all systems have this font, and sometimes it comes with the name courier New. Unfortunately, many terminals and editors use this font by default, although this will not affect use, but it can affect the mood, it is too boring. Have seen such a comment before: long time no peony will be cactus for the United States. This comment-shaped courier font is very suitable. So if you have any other options, please do not use this font. The more unfortunate thing is that you will continue to use it in the end, that 3 seconds can only strongly recommend that you adjust the font size and anti-aliasing.

9. Andale Mono

A slightly better font than courier, and sometimes it is used as the default font. 3 seconds .It is defined as: a software does not come from no one to download the use of a specific font.

8. Monaco

Apple Mac people are not unfamiliar with it, it is the default font of the Mac,3 seconds experience is: When you use it, the font set to 9th or 10th will be better, so that looks relatively not shabby.

7. Profont

Profontis a kind of Monaco bitmap font, you can use on Mac, Windows and Linux, Mac platform Profontx is its modified version, of course two fonts are not from the same author's hand. If you use it, you should turn the font down a little bit better. And if you're a non-Mac platform, it's the best alternative to Monaco. If you like small fonts or like eye fatigue, you can think about it.

6. Monofur

Monofur is a unique, equal-width font that looks good on all sizes, provided you have set it to anti-aliasing. This font looks unique, and it's easy to remember the openlook window Manager on the Sun's Solaris (SunOS) in the late 80 's. If you like fresh things, you can try this font, and again, a hint: anti-aliasing.

5. Proggy

Proggyis a very clean, equal-width font that seems to be favored by many Windows users, and it works fine on the Mac. Use it to generally turn the font down, do not eliminate the sawtooth.

4. Droid Sans Mono

The Droid font family is suitable for mobile platforms such as mobile phones and other small screens, such as Android. It is licensed under the Apache license. The great programming font, which is one of the most prominent in the equal-width font I have listed.

3. Deja Vu Sans Mono

Deja Vu is one of my favorite free font families, based on the Vera font family. Deja VU has been able to support more characters, and has kept the look and feel of Vera. Suitable for any size, as long as you eliminate the sawtooth.

2. Consolas

Consolas is a commercial font, it is Luc (as) de Groot for Microsoft ClearType font family design, with many Microsoft products bound together, so fortunately, it is possible that your system already has its existence. If you use it without anti-aliasing, it's better to use courier!

1. Inconsolata

Inconsolata is my favorite equal-width font, and it's free. After discovering it,3 seconds quickly changed deja Vu Sans mono as my default programming font. From the terminal window to the Code Editor, I made it ubiquitous. It has a very unique style. It's been designed to eliminate the sawtooth, even when it's very small-and the real case is that it fits any size. Thanks to Raph Levien created the inconsolata and made it free.

Most of these fonts are free and free to download. Some are part of the business software, such as Consolas.

How are you feeling? If you feel encounter, you might as well try.
