The Find () method determines the string str, if the starting index beg and ending end index can be found in a string or a substring of a string.


The following is the syntax for the Find () method:


1 Str.find (str, beg=0 End=len (String))


STR--This option specifies the string to search for.

Beg-This is the start index, which by default is 0.

End--This is the ending index, which is equal to the length of the string by default.

return value

Returns 1 if the index returned by this method is found.


The following example shows the use of the Find () method.


1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 #!/usr/bin/python str1 = "This is string Example....wow!!!";   STR2 = "Exam"; Print Str1.find (STR2); Print Str1.find (str2, 10); Print Str1.find (str2, 40);

When we run the above program, it produces the following results:
