Facebook this week upgraded the chat app Messenger's iOS and Android clients and launched a free voice call function, according to 9to5mac, a technology blogger. New features allow users to make toll-free calls via WiFi to Facebook friends who have Messenger installed. Users can, of course, be able to dial through the cellular network, only to consume the amount of data. This feature is especially beneficial for users who need to dial international calls, after all, the price of international communications is very good.
The new Messenger's iOS and Android versions are 4.1, 4.0, which can be downloaded to Apple and Google Apps respectively. The new application contains a telephone icon, which can be dialed for free, similar to the user interface and the original version of the iOS phone.
Facebook's chat app WhatsApp is also ready to launch a network phone function in future upgrades, and the screenshots of relevant apps have been leaked earlier this year.
