Failed to register esriaddin

If this exception occurs during ArcGIS addin development, there are two possible errors:
(1) The project name does not seem to be a Chinese name. If it is a Chinese name, correct it.

(2) The following code exists in the config. esriaddworkflow configuration file:

<Targets> <target name = "desktop" version = "10"/> </targets>

Because the code is developed and debugged in the ArcGIS 10.1 environment, the project is copied directly to the ArcGIS 10 Environment for compilation, and the desktop version in the configuration file is changed to 10 before compilation. Due to negligence, the version is written incorrectly.

Change version = 10 to version = 10.0.
