Familiar with these terms, job data center so easy (1)

When applying for a job as a data center, how do you answer the tough questions from future employers? There are nine policies for your reference.

1. How to define a perfect data center?

The main points of learning DevOps, change management, IT business agility, and other popular Data Center terms are to improve the backend technology and infrastructure to meet the needs and objectives of enterprises. The data center performance indicators can prove these.

When you describe that you are familiar with these concepts during a data center job interview, you must present that what you are talking about is about process improvement and best practices. Define some data center performance metrics and how you can ensure that your team can meet these metrics. Then explain how these performance indicators benefit the company.

For example, do not just point out that the deduplication technology Reduces storage requirements. It has released storage resources for new big data analysis projects, with the lowest capital expenditure reaching a response rate of 20%.

Study the company you are interviewing. Does it comply with industry regulations? Do they value agility and customer acquisition? Or are they focused on maintaining a small group of high-quality long-term customers? Make these preparations before the interview so that you can answer the questions you want to discuss.

2. If you want to control the data center, let's talk about change management.

The change Administrator provides a single administrator with a way to control all server behavior and performance.

We define change management as a system approach that supports unpredictable IT workload evolution and Technology in data centers. This is related to automated workflows, configuration changes, patching, and updates.

The definition of change management is gradually integrated with the automation and orchestration of the glossary data center. Configuration and change tools from different vendors, such as SolarWinds and IBM, allow a few administrators to control a large number of servers, network nodes, and storage devices.

When the interviewer asks you how to manage your time, or how to improve the time management in the data center, you are right about change management. It is also an important part of a successful business project release and expansion. If your data center cannot adapt, there are only two options for your business: abandon the growing business or seek back-end infrastructure support, that is, either using public cloud or using shadow IT.

3. Ask about development and O & M, and talk about continuous integration.

In a good IT enterprise, everyone has the same goal: to provide the best applications and services and to have a sustainable infrastructure. DevOps tracks this goal with continuous integration and delivery help.

Developers pay more attention to new things and future trends, while O & M personnel prefer stability and consistency. DevOps is a methodology or culture of IT. IT maintains communication between development and O & M teams and cooperates in applications and services. Most modern IT enterprises want system administrators, developers, and infrastructure managers to implement continuous integration and delivery.

Continuous integration means that iterative software testing should be performed immediately and added to a larger code base. If a problem occurs, such as the storage capacity is used up, the problem is isolated and immediately rolled back to the previous status.

Continuous delivery submits changes to the Code and leads the changes through peer review and user experience testing. It is an extension of continuous integration. Although many DevOps tools provide code through CI (CI) and CD (CD), the Development and O & M teams actually use different tools in different ways.

CD is also short for continuous development. It is also one of the goals of DevOps, but it is often difficult to achieve it in the real world. Continuous delivery means that changes to applications or services can be deployed because they are tested in a similar environment as the production environment. On the contrary, continuous development means that these changes directly go into production without human intervention.

4. If you want to resist damages, let's talk about data center elasticity.

By avoiding single point of failure and using an adaptive IT system, an elastic data center can withstand network wiring, power failure, unexpected downtime, hacker attacks, user misoperations, and other damages.

By installing several times the physical infrastructure, the data center elasticity increases. If one PDU fails, the other is on standby to receive the workloads running on the failed PDU. If a carrier crashes, all the workloads can be run on the second carrier. N + 1 Redundancy means that no matter how many blocks you run, there is always an additional block for backup. N + M may mean two, three, or more devices. 2N refers to an architecture that is completely replicated for the purpose of protection.

The definition of data center elasticity has become IT technology, such as virtualization and microservices, plus traditional normal operation time booster like N + 1 redundant power supply and equipment. In the job interview, we generally discuss distributed applications and Server clusters. Distributed applications run on multiple servers at the same time, and each application may be deployed as a separate microservice. Server clusters use high availability or fault-tolerant virtualization to prevent power outages, so as to migrate the virtual machine back in case of problems.

Some of today's data centers are designed to be ineffective, which means that the workload may be removed from the faulty server. They can run on new servers across Server clusters or even multiple data centers. This architecture extends from a large-scale network content provider to enterprise IT.

When you talk to future employers about data center elasticity, describe the mechanisms of IT services and business continuity, including various network lines and fault-tolerant clusters. No matter how many power outages your physical system or IT system suffers, the data center can continuously deliver business-critical services.

5. To solve the bottleneck, let's talk about parallel applications.
