If the DHCP Server operating system is Winodws Server 2003, you can use method 1. If the DHCP Server operating system is Winodws Server 2000, you can use method 2.
Method 1
1. Run the command netsh DHCP server export: dhcp.txt all at the command prompt on the original dhcp server.
2. When the prompt shown in Figure 1 appears, stop the original DHCP server service.
3. Copy the file to the new DHCP server drive c and run the following command at the command prompt: netsh dhcp server import c: dhcp.txt all
4. After "command succeeded" appears, open "DHCP" of the management tool and activate DHCP.
Method 2
1. Download a DHCP Export Import tool Dhcpexim from the Microsoft Website: http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/techinfo/reskit/tools/new/dhcpexim-o.asp.
2.download and install dhcpexim_setup.exe on the New and Old dhcpserver. Follow the prompts to install dhcpexim_setup.exe by default.
3. After the installation is complete, click Dhcpexim in the C: Program FilesResource Kit directory to run. The window shown in Figure 2 is displayed, and select "Export ......", Click OK.
4. In the pop-up window 3, enter a file name and click "OK". The window shown in Figure 4 is displayed, indicating that the data is exported successfully.
5. Stop the services of the original DHCP server.
6. Copy the exported Backdhcp binary file to the new DHCP server, and then run Dhcpexim to import it as prompted.
