Step One: Set the default filtering rules for Internet control

The default filtering rule has two options, and some features can be implemented with two options. 4, add the Internet control rules

In the default rule, "all packets that do not conform to the established Internet control rules are banned from the router", so you now need to add entries that allow John to surf the web. In Internet control, select Rule Management and click "Add Single Entry". For example, add a DNS rule as follows:

Step three: Set up working hours no one else can surf the internet.

1. Add Host list:

In the "Internet Control" select "Host List", click "Fill in a single entry", add the entire intranet IP address:

An Internet time has been added in step two so there is no need to add a schedule here

3. Add Access target:

Routers default to any destination, so there is no need to add access targets here

4, add the Internet control rules:

In the "Internet Control" select "Rule Management", click "Add a single entry", add a in the working time period, all the hosts are prohibited by the entry, add the following entry:

Since the router filtering rule is to match entries from top down, everyone here includes John, but does not affect John browsing the web during working hours

Step four: Set up a non-working time period everyone can surf the internet

1. Add Host list:

All hosts in the intranet have been added in step three, so no more host entries are added here

These time periods need to be added because they need to be divided into 00:00-08:30, 18:00-24:00, and weekend periods from Monday to Friday. In the "Internet Control" select "Schedule", click "Add a single entry", add the following entry:

All destinations are accessible by the non-working time period, and the router defaults to any destination, so there is no need to add any more access targets

4, add the Internet control rules:

In the "Internet Control" select "Rule Management", click "Add a single entry", add the non-work time period for all the host to be able to access the entry, add the following entry:

Step five: Enable the Internet control function

All entries are set up, enable the Internet control function, so that all entries are effective

This enables John to access the Web page only for a specific period of time by controlling the three parameters of the host list, schedule, and access target. At this point, the configuration is complete.
