Wired and wireless Integrated Access Solution

The wired and wireless Integrated Access solution is the most typical application of Fit AP for wireless controllers. As the center for Wireless Data Control and forwarding, the wireless controllers are placed in the Central Data Center of the Internet, wireless access points are placed in office buildings, corridors, meeting rooms, and other places. Fit AP and wireless controller can be in the same network segment or not in the same network segment, the tunnel is automatically established between them through the CAPWAP Protocol (the tunnel is based on UDP and can be connected through a layer-3 network). Combined with the access function of the Ethernet switch, it is very easy to deploy an enterprise-level wired and wireless Integrated Access solution. From the perspective of user management, combined with the smart management center, you can achieve a unified network management of wired and wireless devices, a unified authentication platform for wired and wireless users, so as to truly achieve wired and wireless integration.

Advantages of 802.11 Wireless Technology

The wireless network technology is based on the standard (International Standard for wireless networks). The standard mainly defines the physical layer and access layer (MAC) of the network, and the MAC layer is the focus. Below the MAC layer, 802.11 specifies three transmission and Receiving Technologies: Spread Spectrum Technology, Infared technology, and Narrow Band technology. The spread spectrum is divided into Direct Sequence (DS) Spread Spectrum and Frequeny Hopping (FH) spread spectrum.

Three key technologies are used to implement a wireless LAN: infrared ray, frequency-hopping spread spectrum (FHSS), and direct sequence spread spectrum (DSSS ).

The infrared LAN uses infrared rays smaller than 1 μm wavelength as transmission media, with strong directionality and high interference from sunlight. Infrared supports 1 ~ 2 Mb/s data rate, suitable for close-range communication.

Dsss lan can communicate with each other in a wide frequency range, supporting 1 ~ 2 Mbit/s data rate. Both the transmission and the receiving end are in narrowband mode, while the transmission process is in broadband mode.

The fhss lan supports 1 Mbit/s data rate. There are 22 groups of frequency hopping patterns, including 79 channels. After the output synchronous carrier is mediated, the information sent by the sender can be obtained.

Both DSSS and FHSS Wireless LAN use radio waves as media, with a large coverage and low emission power compared with natural background noise. This basically avoids eavesdropping and theft of signals and ensures secure communication. At the same time, radio waves in the wireless LAN do not cause harm to human health, and have the advantages of anti-interference, anti-noise, anti-attenuation, and good confidentiality.

We know that the Spread Spectrum Technology uses the open GHz band, because it is a public band, so it is very crowded, the microwave noise is the largest, and what sending and receiving methods are adopted, will directly affect the quality and speed of microwave transmission. The direct-order spread spectrum technology uses the entire frequency band at the same time, and the signal is extended multiple times without loss. The frequency-hopping spread spectrum technology uses multiple frequency points for consecutive jumps. When a frequency point is jumped to, the system determines whether there is interference. If no interference exists, the system transmits the signal. If yes, the system continues to judge whether the algorithm jumps to the next frequency band. It is precisely because of the use of the frequency hopping technology that the frequency hopping range is very wide, but the information stays at each frequency for a short period of time (only about 1/1000 seconds ), this not only greatly improves the anti-interference capability of data, but also improves transmission stability and data security. This is the key to wireless network transmission. Of course, some other important contents are also stipulated in, such as CSMA/CA, RTS/CTS, packet reconstruction, and multi-channel roaming.

Features of the wireless networking reliability Solution

The biggest advantage of the fit ap networking is that the AP itself has no configuration. After the AP is powered on, it will automatically download the software version and configuration file from the wireless controller, at the same time, the wireless controller automatically adjusts the AP's working channel and transmit power. In addition, the wireless controller's RF scan can detect Rouge AP in hotspot areas, so as to eliminate interference from other APs in time and ensure stable operation of the AP. In terms of network management, network management can control the AP only by managing the wireless controller device, greatly reducing the workload of wireless network maintenance and management.

When the wireless controller + fit ap is used, the AP automatically obtains the IP address through DHCP after it is started, and automatically searches for the associated wireless controller, after a CAPWAP tunnel is established with the wireless controller, the configuration file and software version are automatically downloaded from the wireless controller.

In terms of AP access, when an AP fails, other APs around the AP will automatically adjust the power and re-overwrite the signals in this region to ensure good signal coverage. When an illegal AP enters the wireless network and causes signal interference, H3C can only locate the AP in the RF Management System for timely troubleshooting.

Fit ap automatic RF adjustment function

The wireless controller can set the AP to share the load between connected users. When the wireless controller finds that the AP load exceeds the set threshold, wireless controllers of new users automatically calculate whether there are APs with lighter loads around the user for user access. If yes, the AP rejects the user's associated requests, the user will access other AP with lighter load.
