This is a comparative test based on 64-bit Ubuntu 11.10 and Fedora 16, and they all share the same place: GCC 4.6.x compiler and EXT4 file system. The difference is that the former is based on the Linux 3.0 kernel, the latter is the Linux 3.1 kernel, and the Fedora 16 has more graphical stacks (including user and kernel space ). As in the previous article, the performance test of Fedora 16 and Ubuntu 11.10 also adopted the same three testing environments.
