FFmpeg 0-day vulnerability allows attackers to remotely steal local files

FFmpegg, a widely used open-source multimedia framework, discovers a 0-day vulnerability that allows attackers to remotely steal local files. Popular FFmpeg applications include VLC, Kodi/XBMC, and MythTV. Maxim Andreev, a Russian programmer, allows attackers to read and send local files from remote machines using specially crafted video files. FFmpeg developers recommend that you disable the HLS (HTTP Live Streaming) function before releasing the patch. Arch Linux has rebuilt FFmpeg and removed network support temporarily.
