Fiber Channel and Fiber Channel

The fiber channel refers to the network channel (FC.

 

Since fiber and re have only one word difference, many misunderstandings have emerged.

FC only represents the fiber channel, rather than the fiber channel. The latter is translated as an "Fiber Channel", and even a disk whose interface is FC is called an "fiber disk ", in fact, these are all funny misunderstandings. FC and optical fiber have no necessary connection at all.

 

The fiber channel can be called the FC protocol, or the FC network and FC connection. Like TCP/IP, the FC protocol set also has many concepts in the TCP/IP protocol set and Ethernet, such as FC switching, FC switch, FC routing, FC router, and SPF routing algorithm. We can look at TCP/IP and FC protocols in an analogy because they all follow the OSI model.
