Some time ago, I had a hard time installing the Linux system on a server. After I wrote the installation process below, anyone who had similar installation could complete the installation quickly, because the server's optical drive is unavailable and the External Optical Drive is not found, you can use a USB flash drive for boot to install the system.

The following describes how to install images and text in centOS6.5. Some problems may occur during the installation process. I will post the solution together for your reference. A blog may be too long due to a large number of images, the installation procedure is described in several sections.

1, first find a windows system computer with UltraISO open iso (such as: CentOS-6.5-x86_64-bin-DVD1.iso), and then click "start"-> "Write hard disk image", hard drive is your U disk, image File Installation CD iso, write method is USB-HDD +, click "write" button. After installation, the USB flash drive is ready. This step is very simple, so we will not map it.

2, from the online system under the CentOS-6.5-x86_64-bin-DVD1.iso (4 more G), there will be a CentOS-6.5-x86_64-bin-DVD2.iso (1 more G ). The first one is used to create a USB flash drive and start it with a USB flash drive of 8 GB or above. After the USB flash drive is created, copy the second one to the root directory of the USB flash drive (which will be discussed later ), I have mentioned on the Internet that I copied the first one to a USB flash drive. The format of the created USB flash drive is FAT32, which cannot be copied to the first ISO file.

3. boot the computer with the prepared USB flash drive (you need to set the USB flash drive to start, so you don't need to talk about it). After entering the system, the first item is displayed by default. OK. Next Step

6. Locate on Hard drive. Do not fill in directory holding image. The system will automatically enter this item. (In fact, this is to search for the install. imgfile under the image directory) Select OK, press enter,

9. Set the computer name: just enter the computer name based on your preferences.

10. Set the time zone (for example). The default value is enough.
