File System read/write Performance

Source: Internet
Author: User

Summary:

Read performance: because the file system driver does not have cache or prefetch, the read performance is low.

Write Performance: The maximum read/write performance is acceptable, and the stable read/write (stream mode) performance is poor, which is about 80% of the performance of another system.

Cause (speculation): The read/write I/O is large (each time the IRP contains a large amount of Io), which affects the stability and causes Frame loss when the number of streams is small. To be verified.

For raid0, the strip depth is the IO size of Each IRP. You can change the Strip size to verify its impact on the maximum read/write speed and stable read/write speed. To be tested.
