Filezilla is a popular open-source free FTP Client and server project. Currently, its Client software Filezilla Client 3.0 has a very wide market.

Filezilla has the following advantages: high security and high performance. Filazilla's security comes from its open source code. Why can open source ensure security? After the birth of each software product, many people tried to discover its vulnerabilities and launch attacks to obtain permissions and other benefits. If it is an open-source software, attackers will download the software's source code, analyze its internal vulnerabilities from the source, and launch attacks. The larger the scale of open source, the more people download and read the source code, the more general the software is. With its gradual improvement, fewer and fewer vulnerabilities have finally become widely recognized and extremely secure software, which is inseparable from the contributions of tens of thousands of programmers on the Internet. Such software is represented by a large number of high-reliability software such as Apache, PHP, MySQL, Bind and Vsftpd on the Linux platform. People cannot study closed-source software that does not open source code. Therefore, they can only use it as a "black box" for research. There is no source code in the study process, it is difficult to find the error. Even if some errors are found, there are more vulnerabilities hidden in the Code. However, because the code is not public, it is impossible to detect them in the short term, and many problems may be exposed in later use. Filezilla's high performance comes from its code development platform C/C ++, which is far better than other applications developed on the VB/Dephi platform. Therefore, Filezilla has the same performance as IIS. In terms of gigabit network bandwidth, it can easily meet the needs of hundreds of users for simultaneous high-speed download.

Currently, Filezilla also has some shortcomings. Its main disadvantage is that it does not support quotas, that is, it does not provide the function of uploading or downloading the total file size quota. Even so, free Filezilla is increasingly occupying the original Serv-U and other software markets, becoming closer to users.

 

The VPS of quicknet is already installed. You only need to set up the user by yourself. However, the installation and configuration steps are as follows:

 

1. After decompression, the following file will appear (1), run "FileZilla server.exe ",

Click "yes" for all the prompts below (2-4 ). The software installation is complete.

 

2. Run "FileZilla Server Interface.exe" and the logon page is displayed (5 ).

 

3. Click OK without modification to enter the main program form (6 ).

4. Click "edit -- set" (7 ).

5. Modify the login password of the server to prevent Internet login. Click "Manage Interface settings-change management password" (8)

You can change the listening port on the management interface to another one.

6. Enable the passive mode to better support FTP tool connection and firewall interference. Click "passive mode settings" (9). You can set the port orientation at will, but make sure it is not blocked.

 

Other functions are modified as needed. After the modification is complete, click "OK" to save the settings.

 

7. Click "edit-user" again and click "add" (10)

Enter the username you want to add. Here, use test instead of (11) and click "OK ".

Click "password" to set the password. You can set the maximum number of connections and the number of connections per IP address. (12)

8. Click "share folder" to set the FTP directory. After adding the directory, add the appropriate permissions (13) and click "OK" to save the settings. This FTP is created. The following "speed limit" and "IP address filtering"
