When you make a mail merge in a Word2010 document, you sometimes need to select only recipients that are not empty for a particular field to be the merged object. For example, select only recipients that have content in the title field, as described in the following procedure:
Step 1th, open the Word2010 document window and switch to the mail ribbon. Click the Edit recipient list button in the Start Mail Merge group, as shown in Figure 1.
Figure 1 Click the Edit recipient list button tip: If the Edit recipient list button is unavailable, you need to click the Select Recipient button in the Start Mail Merge group and select the appropriate recipient list. Step 2nd, open the Mail Merge Recipients dialog box, click the Drop-down triangle button to the right of the field name in the recipient list (in this case, click the Drop-down triangle button in the Title field), and select the not blank command from the Open drop-down menu. The Title field contains the recipients of the content, and the recipient with the Title field as blank will be filtered out. Repeat this step to further filter other fields, as shown in Figure 2.
