Find a string on VI or VIM

Search from the beginning

In command mode, enter/the character you want to find

Press ENTER to see VIM move the cursor to that character

Then press N (lowercase) to see the next match

Press N (uppercase) to view the previous match,

CapsLock Toggle case, or you can press Shift+n in lowercase

Search at the end

？ String or character to search for

Search, open other files found also highlighted, how to close

In command-line mode, enter: Nohlsearch

You can also: set Nohlsearch

can be shortened into Noh drink Set-noh
