The next generation of browsers have added support for HTML5 standard video tags (regardless of M $, ogg open source media standards, promoted by the xiph community, are supported by all browsers (Chrome/chromium/Firefox 3.5 +/opera 10.5/safari4 (via xiphqt )). Firefogg is a Firefox extension that converts other videos into Ogg formats.
Visit the firefogg website to download this extension. It supports Linux 32bit/64bt, Mac OS X, and Win32 platforms.
After the installation is complete, visit the website again to see the make Ogg video label. Click to enter and select the local file to start the transcoding process. Firefogg's backend is a relatively mature ffmpeg2theora (included, not installed separately) Transcoder. It supports a wide range of video formats, common mov, FLV, AVI (Xvid/MP3) all files can be converted.
Firefogg has three built-in pre-encoding options and provides a wide range of advanced encoding options, including interception, twopass, and media tag editing.
