When you see this article, I have taken the Light Rail to prepare for a visit somewhere. This article is actually written yesterday and published with the WordPress timed release function, in fact, most of the articles here are written in advance and published on a regular basis. In particular, this month, we hope to keep a new article updated every day. Once we have an idea, we will record it as soon as possible, fearing to forget something.

You need to import the certificate when using autoproxy/foxyproxy and goagent on Firefox. However, after I import the certificate, the following prompt will appear when browsing a website: (autoproxy/foxyproxy is enabled for this website)

Security connection failed

An error occurred while connecting to xxxxxx. xxx.

You have received an invalid certificate. Contact the administrator or Email Contact Person of the server and provide them with the following information:

Your certificate has the same serial number as another certificate issued by the certificate authority. Obtain a new certificate with a unique serial number.

(Error code: sec_error_reused_issuer_and_serial)

This prompt tells us that the certificate has been repeatedly imported. We need to delete the originally imported goagent certificate. However, even if I have deleted the originally imported goagent certificate, the "Secure Connection Failed" message will still be displayed when I browsed the website again ". Several times after Google, I found another solution: Find the "cert8.db" file in the Firefox configuration folder and delete it. Then re-open Firefox and import the goagent certificate! In fact, you do not need to import the goagent certificate. However, when you browse the certificate-encrypted website, you will constantly prompt "this connection is untrusted". You need to add exceptions to access it normally. (Does the cert8.db file need to be deleted because of a bug ?) Procedure:

Let's take a rough look at the processing steps. If you have solved the problem at a specific step, you don't have to continue.

1. when you browse a website, the system prompts "Secure Connection Failed" because there are duplicate certificates. This is often because we have imported the goagent certificate, so you can delete the imported goagent certificate, when you browse this website again, you may be prompted "this connection is untrusted". You need to add an exception.

2. re-import the goagent certificate, so that the autoproxy/foxyproxy will not frequently prompt you "this connection is untrusted" to allow you to add exceptions.

3. The problem has not been solved after the above two steps. please delete the "cert8.db" file in the configuration folder of Firefox and open the Certificate for importing Firefox to goagent again to solve the problem perfectly. (In fact, you only need to prompt "Security connection failed" and use step 2 to solve it) How to import the goagent certificate:

Very easy! Go to Firefox's "options", click "advanced"-"Certificate tab"-"view Certificate", and click the "Certificate Authority" tab in "Certificate Manager, click "import" to import "ca. CRT.
