Firefox 3.1, codenamed Shiretoko, is the next Firefox version currently being developed by Mozilla. By the end of July, Mozilla released the first Alpha test version of Firefox 3.1. Now Alpha 2 is released. If you like Firefox, download it and try it.

Firefox 3.1 Alpha 2 is based on Mozilla's Gecko 1.9.1 layout engine. this version includes the following new features:

HTML 5 supported Element
Preliminary support for web worker threads
Now you can drag tabs between browser windows
Able to use Aero "Glass" in XUL"
Supports CSS 2.1 Attributes: before and: after, and white-space: pre-line
Supports CSS 3 attributes:-moz-border-image, word-wrap: break-word, text-shadow, box-shadow and column-rule
Improved performance and new color management options
