After the firemacs plug-in is installed, you can use the Emacs style shortcut in Firefox to operate the webpage. After firemacs is successfully installed, there is an Emacs icon in the lower right corner of Firefox. Click this icon to make it brighter or darker to enable or disable the firemacs plug-in.
In firemacs settings, shortcut keys are mainly divided into edit, view, common, and other categories. I think the most important shortcut keys are:
Move C-P or k up a row C-N or J down a row C-B or H back a tab C-f or I forward a tab
M-<or <to the top M-> or> to the end of the page
B. Return a page. f. Forward a page. R. Reload the current page.
During editing, the default editing shortcut key is exactly the same as that in Emacs. Of course, you can also define it based on your preferences.
Firemacs provides similar functions as conkeror, but they are quite different. Conkeror is a completely xulrunner-based browser. In addition to shortcut keys, conkeror also provides more customizable functions. firemacs only simulates key operations of Emacs in Firefox. For general users, firemacs is much more simple and practical. for users who love to toss, conkeror's high customization features provide a better test field.
