You can restore a panel by storing its current size and position as a named workspace, even if the panel is moved or closed. Name of the workspace that is stored
Appears in the workspace switcher on the application bar.
Store Custom Workspaces
1 for the workspace where you want to store your configuration, do one of the following:
• (Illustrator) Select Window > Workspace > Storage workspace.
• (Photoshop, InDesign, InCopy) Select Window > Workspace > New workspace.
• (Dreamweaver) Choose Window > Workspace layout > New workspace.
• (Flash) Select "New Workspace" from the workspace switch on the application bar.
• (Fireworks) Select Save current from the workspace switcher on the application bar.
2 Type the name of the workspace.
3 (Photoshop, InDesign) under Capture, select one or more options:
The panel location holds the current panel position (InDesign only).
Keyboard shortcuts Save the current set of keyboard shortcuts (Photoshop only).
menu or menu customization stores the current menu group.
Show or switch workspaces
❖ Choose a workspace from the workspace switcher on the application bar.
In Photoshop, you can specify keyboard shortcuts for each workspace to quickly navigate between them.
Delete a custom workspace
• Select Manage workspaces from the workspace switcher on the application bar, select the workspace, and then click Delete. (This option is not available in Fireworks.) )
• (Photoshop, InDesign, InCopy) Select Delete workspace from the workspace switcher.
• (Illustrator) Select Window > Workspace > Manage workspaces, select the workspace, and then click the Delete icon.
• (Photoshop, InDesign) Select Window > Workspace > Delete workspace, select the workspace, and then click Delete.
Restore Default Workspace
1 Select the default or basic workspace from the workspace switcher on the application bar.
Note: In Dreamweaver, the default workspace is designer.
2 (Photoshop, InDesign, and InCopy) Select Window > Workspace > Reset workspace name.
(Photoshop) How to restore the storage's workspace arrangement
In Photoshop, the workspace is automatically displayed as it was last arranged, but you can restore the previously stored panel arrangement.
• To restore a single workspace, select Window > Workspace > Reset workspace name.
• To restore all workspaces that are installed with Photoshop, click Restore Default Workspace in the interface preferences.
To rearrange the order of the workspaces in the application bar, drag the workspace.
