The annual Christmas is coming, and it's time to send Christmas gifts to friends, can we use graphic design software to design a holiday greeting card to send to friends? Fireworks can easily help friends achieve this desire. In this example we use the Fireworks MX 2004 Chinese version to draw a Christmas card (similar to other versions), so that we can familiarize ourselves with the path tools and pen tools in fireworks. Here is the beginning of the old Christmas pattern to draw it! The end of the article provides the original document for everyone to download reference.
1. Let's start by creating a new size 1024x768 image in fireworks that is designed to work as a desktop.
Imagine the image of Santa Claus, the first thought of the natural is the head with the small ball hat. So we're going to start with Santa's hat.
The shape of the hat can be achieved by the deformation of the ellipse, and in the absence of a digital plate, using the existing path and then adjusting the anchor point is the best way to draw the vector graph. First draw an ellipse, and the fill is set to a linear fill. Set the color of the left color slider to #f30423, and the color slider color on the right is set to #970617 to get the oval image as shown in Figure 1.

2. Here's to the oval shape, making it look like Santa Claus wears a hat. Here we use the Subselection tool to adjust to the shape of Figure 2 using the joystick first.

3. To achieve the top of Santa's drooping hat, we need to add several anchor points using the Pen tool. Then drag the middle anchor point so that you can have the top of the hat, adjust the linear-filled joystick appropriately, and get the image shown in Figure 3.

4. Here's a little bit of the ball behind the Santa's hat, which is easier to draw. Use the Oval tool to draw a circle, then copy it two times, resize the two circles after the copy, in turn, smaller than the previous one, and adjust the three rounded fill color. The Strokes are none, the color from deep to shallow, get the effect shown in Figure 4.

5. The next step is to draw the edge of the hat, which we sketch with the Pen tool 1.1 points, as shown in Figure 5.

6. Ditto, replicate the objects two times, and then adjust the size and color of the copied objects to get the hat image shown in Figure 6.

7. As well as drawing Santa's beard, the contour of the beard can be adjusted to adjust the edge of the anchor point, so that can reflect the level of sense, as shown in Figure 7.

8. Then, using the Ellipse tool and adjusting the drawn ellipse to get Santa's face contour and add an inner glow effect to it, the property settings are shown in Figure 8.

9. Combine related paths, such as beard, hat edge and small ball of three levels, so as to facilitate the operation of the image, which is often used in the drawing of a skill. You can ctrl+shift+g the ungroup when you edit it again. After combining, we place the face in the middle of the hat and beard to get the image effect shown in Figure 9.

10. Then the eyebrows are drawn relatively simple, using the Ellipse tool to draw an ellipse and then use the selected tools to adjust its anchor points, and then use the projection effect on the image. After you draw the eyebrow, flip it horizontally and use the Zoom tool to adjust the angle, so you can draw the eyebrows of Santa. As shown in Figure 10.

11. The drawing of the eye and the drawing of the ball are similar, using the elliptical tool, because the eye relative to the image is relatively small, adjust the canvas display ratio can be, such as we adjust the canvas to 200% display, so the smaller parts can be adjusted to detail, as shown in Figure 11.

12. Then draw the nose and powder Doodle's little face, use the elliptical tool, remember the need to fill the edge feather, so that the effect will be better, not so blunt, as shown in Figure 12.
