Create a new 300*300 size canvas, use the Ellipse tool with the SHIFT key to draw a circle with a diameter of 216 pixels in the canvas, and then select Ellipse in the gradient category to fill the interior. I use 14% "sandpaper" to imitate the rough texture of the basketball surface. As shown in Figure 01.
Figure 01
We then add a "projection" effect to the object's property box to enhance the icing on the stereo. The setting parameters of the "projection" effect are shown below.
Figure 02
After the first step, we'll draw the curve on the basketball surface. With the "pen" tool along the surface of the sphere to draw four curves, in the painting must be along the basketball surface of the three-dimensional to draw, so that the ball more prominent full. At the same time, the pen path node should not be too much, so as not to affect the smoothness of the curve. As shown in Figure 03, 04.

Figure 04
After the path is finished, you can also use the "detail" tool to adjust these lines, so as to achieve the three-dimensional sense of the sphere.
Hold down the SHIFT key while selecting the four curves. Then click the "Modify-change path-extend stroke" command on the menu bar to eject the "Expand Strokes" setting window, as shown in Figure 05.
Figure 05
We set the stroke width to 2, the end endpoint of the path is rounded, and the other settings remain unchanged. The stroke of the path is then canceled, and a solid fill is #5a5a5a, as shown in Figure 06.
Figure 06
To show the concave effect of the four curves, after selecting the four Curve objects, click on the effect bar of the property box to add a "concave relief" effect to the four curves. The various settings for this special effect are shown below.
Figure 07
At this point, the whole of the basketball draw is done, the final effect is shown in Figure 08.
