Today we take you to make a realistic work with fireworks: mobile phone. The main technique is to use light and shade to show the smoothness and texture, the details of the performance should be very careful.

A . png file is provided at the end of the article for you to download reference.

   Production steps:

Create a new 300*520 size canvas in fireworks with a white background with a resolution of 72. Because we are going to draw the phone from the point of view of the display is symmetrical, so we can use the pen tool to outline the left side of the fuselage, and then use the "detail" tool to make small changes and adjustments, as shown in Figure 01.

Then copy the contour, flip it horizontally and then move to the right so that it aligns horizontally with the left contour, as shown in Figure 02. The two paths are then combined with the "modify-Combine path-union" option, so that we get a symmetrical outline of the fuselage.

Figure 01 Figure 02

The fuselage path is then filled with the color #c0bfc8, then the two "inner bevel" effects are used and the two effects are set exactly the same.

Figure 03

We copy the entire path of the fuselage one more and cancel all the effects and fills on the copied path. Then use the Zoom tool plus the ALT key to shrink appropriately, then fill with linear gradient, and the color from #fcfff to #bcbabf, with a feather value of 7. This makes the entire fuselage shiny and three-dimensional. As shown in Figure 04.

Figure 04

Let's draw the peripheral parts of the phone's display. The reason why this part was first drawn is to give the coordinates of the position on the future display.

Also use a pen to sketch the left outline, after you make a slight adjustment with the detail tool, copy the contour and flip it horizontally, then align the two objects, and then modify-combine paths-union for both paths, creating a new, left-right symmetry path, as shown in Figure 05.

Figure 05

Next, the new path is colored with a linear gradient, and the gradient is changed from #999999 to #f1f1f3, as shown in Figure 06.

Figure 06

At this point, we will draw a picture of the following symmetrical contour, the method of symmetrical path has been said before, in this is not much to repeat. As shown in Figure 07.

Figure 07

Then give this path casually take a name, called "W1" bar, and then copy the path again, named "W2" and the "W2" object layer of the "eye" temporarily closed. Because for a while we have to "W2" this path to "cut" another object, so temporarily "W2" reservations.

Figure 08

Also select the symmetric and W1 paths in Figure 07, and then use the Modify-combine path-cut (Punch) command to form a new combined path, which is also #999999 to #f1f1f3 linear padding with a feather value of 1, as shown in Figure 09.

Figure 09

Copy the combined path one more time, use the Zoom tool with the ALT key, shrink two pixels to the zoom center point, and then fill with a linear gradient, as shown in Figure 10.

Figure 10

Then use the Pen tool to draw the following map-like symmetrical path, also with a linear gradient to fill, gradient from #b7bbc6 to #e0e1e6, as shown in Figure 11.

Figure 11

Remember the "W2" Path! Select it and pull it to the top layer, then select the object in Figure 11 and make the "Cut (Punch)" command, and form a new combined path, with the fill color set in the previous figure, still #b7bbc6 gradient to #e0e1e6, as shown in Figure 12.

Figure 12

This time we can draw the mobile phone display, first sketch an approximate rectangular symmetric path, with full black for solid fill, feather value of 1, as shown in Figure 13.

Figure 13

Duplicate one more of the paths, then move 2 and 3 pixels to the right and down, change feather to anti-aliasing, stroke to #a5a5a5, and modify the fill color of the linear gradient, as shown in Figure 14.

Figure 14

To make the phone display a recessed effect around the screen, draw more than three concave shadows on the top, left, and right around the screen. First, we use the Pen tool to sketch out the concave shadow above, and then we use a linear fill with a feather value of 3.

Figure 15

Then use the Pen tool to draw the left concave shadow, with #d9d7d8 to #aaa6a7 for a linear gradient fill. Then the object of the concave shadow is copied more than once, horizontally flipped and then moved to the right position, with #ffffff to #d7d5d6 for a linear gradient filled with a feather value of 1, as shown in Figure 16.

Figure 16

Finally, we add one more projection to the interior of the display screen, using a linear fill with a feather value of 3.

Figure 17

Mobile screen content of the painting is relatively simple, "NOKIA" and "menu" fonts are Square721 BT, the size of 24 and 16th respectively. "Menu" has one more "bold" font. Rectangular strips of both the left and right sides representing "signal" and "power" intensity are drawn with a "rectangular" tool and filled with all black.

Figure 18

After this part of the painting, we continue to draw the phone's sound hole, this part is also relatively easy. Use the Oval tool to draw a 14*69 oval, and then align it vertically with the fuselage. With linear padding, feather is 1.

Figure 19

Then use the Ellipse tool to draw 5 small ellipses filled with solid on this ellipse, the fill color is #666666, the middle of the small oval can be slightly larger, adjust the position of 5 ellipses, call the alignment panel so that it vertically aligned with the fuselage, as shown in Figure 20.

Figure 20

Then it's time to draw the button on the phone. Let's draw the "function key" first. Use Pen tool to draw a symmetrical button shape, with "oval" fill, stroke color for #333333, as shown.

Figure 21

Then use the Pen tool to draw a slightly curved line segment on the function key and soften the stroke with #5d81b3, with a thickness value of 2.

Then continue to draw the "end button", directly sketch out the shape of the key, and then fill it with black, as shown in Figure 22.

Figure 22

The path is then copied one, with the "Zoom" tool plus the ALT key, two pixels to the center point of the Zoom, and then a linear fill.

Figure 23

The way to sketch the "scroll button" on the right side of the phone is slightly different, first draw the path with the Pen tool and then fill it with black, then duplicate one more of the path, using the Zoom tool and the ALT key, reduce the 2 pixels to the zoom center, and change the path to a white solid fill with a feather value of 1.

Figure 24

And then you have to copy the path of this white filled fill to one more, remove the white solid fill, use a linear fill, color gradient from #ffffff to #6b7985, use the Detail tool to select the leftmost node of the path, and move one pixel to the left and down with the arrow keys, as shown in Figure 25.

Figure 25

At this point, the end of the key and the "scroll key" is basically finished, and finally use the Pen tool on the two keys to draw the diagram, stroke size 2, color value of #333333.

Figure 26

Keep going, let's continue to draw the "number Keys". It is noted that the "number of keys" outside a slight concave slope, which makes many beginners think that here should first draw a "number key", fill in the color after the "outside bevel" effect. The idea is right, but sometimes the effect is not ideal, so here we have to change a way of thinking, instead of ordinary painting.

First sketch out the shape of the number key "1" and then fill it with an ellipse to #444444 stroke.

Figure 27

Then to draw the "1" of the outside slope, first copy more than one "1", and the zoom tool with the use of the ALT key zoom point to the center of magnification 3 pixels, and then change to #c5c4c9 to #ffffff linear fill, and remove strokes, feather to 1. Then use the arrow keys to move the object to the left and up the position of 2 pixels.

Figure 28

Then adjust the image layer so that the object is behind the number key "1".

Because of the number keys "1", "4", "7" and "*" the shape of all the same, so we can first "1" and "1 of the outer slope" through the "modification-combination" of these two objects into a group, and then copy the combination of more than three, and adjust their relative position.

Figure 29

The number Keys "3", "6", "9" and "#" shape is the number of keys "1" the effect of horizontal flip, so we just have to "1" and "1 of the outer slope" of the combination of objects horizontally flipped over, and then moved to the fuselage on the right side of the position on the line, you want to modify the number of the key is only the fill color.

Figure 30

The remaining number keys are only "2", "5", "8" and "0", and these 4 digital health is the same shape, so we only need to draw "2 outside the slope" and "2" and then combine the two objects, and then copy the other number keys.

Draw the "outer slope of 2" of the number key and use #b9b8bd to #f1f0f5 linear gradients from top to bottom, as shown in Figure 31.

Figure 31

Then draw the shape of the number key "2" and use an oval gradient, as shown in Figure 32.

Figure 32

The rest of the "number keys" copied out after the alignment arrangement, after completion of the following figure.

Figure 33

Although the number key has been painted well, but there is no text on it. So we also have to "0 to 9" and "*" and "#" These numbers and characters, the font I used is avantgarde Md BT, use bold, size of 13, with full black fill, and select "Smooth anti-aliasing." When you are done, right-click the text and select "Convert to Path" from the pop-up menu, as shown in the figure. and the "*" number is relatively small, so also use the "Zoom" tool to enlarge the line.

Figure 34

Because these characters are turned into paths, so we choose the individual number of time to use the "detail" tool to select the first, and then use the "pointer" tool to move it to the phone's "digital health" above, and then adjust and align the corresponding position, completed the following figure.

Figure 35

In the end, don't forget to draw the words "NOKIA" on the fuselage, use the rectangle tool to draw a black solid rectangle with a 62*13 size and align it with the fuselage, and then hit the "NOKIA" letters above, with the font Square721 bt,14 number size, using bold and Strong anti-aliasing. "

Figure 36

At this point, the entire mobile phone painting completed. You can also in accordance with their own preferences to the mobile phone background, the contents of the screen can also be replaced by your favorite patterns and so on. The final effect is shown below.
