Fireworks MX 2004 System antialiasing and custom anti-aliasing

This feature is designed to solve the problem of not smoothing the edges of the fonts in fireworks, as shown in Figure 10-1, the letter "A", which is magnified to see its edges jagged and not smooth.

We set options on the font edge of the property panel to see that version 2004 adds system anti-aliasing (Systems Anti-alias) and custom anti-alias (Anti-alias) sawtooth two options, as shown in Figure 10-2.

Using the system anti-aliasing, the system automatically adjusts the smoothness of the text edges. Using custom anti-aliasing, the user will define the smoothness themselves, as shown in Figure 10-3, after we select Custom Anti-aliasing, see the customization options.

The number of anti-aliasing combinations is set in the Oversampling, with three selections 4 times, 8, 16, and the more mixed times, the smoother the edges. Sharpness and strength are the sharpness and pressure of the edges, and the smaller their values, the smoother the edges of the text. As shown in Figure 10-3, we can see that the edge of the letter "A" is obviously much smoother. As shown in Figure 10-4
