Fireworks MX has added some pixel graph processing function, we can not only use it to make a good vector map, but also fully use it to make a lot of beautiful pixel images.
The following is fireworks MX made the simulation of the light bulb, the left is a transparent light bulb, the right side is frosted light bulb, the effect is very realistic!
This example mainly uses the Bezier curve tool (pen), the gradient, the feather, the shadow, the new "Burn tool" and "the Dodge tool" and so on.
First, the production of sanding bulbs
1. Create a new file, use the Rounded Rectangle tool to drag out a rectangular box, use the secondary selection tool to adjust the nodes at both ends, as shown in figure:
2. Copy 3 again, order neatly, preferably using the alignment panel. Then use the "modify/combine/union" command to make them a whole, adjust the nodes at the top and bottom, and then fill them with linear gradients (Linear), as shown. You can do the same with other methods that you are accustomed to doing.
3. Use "Ctrl + A" Select all, choose "Modify/flatten Layers", make it into a bitmap, with "Skew Tool" deformation tool slightly do deformation. ( Note : If you do not convert to a bitmap, distorted only after the shape changes, the inside of the fill does not change with the changes, is still a parallel linear gradient fill, so be sure to convert to a bitmap.) Draw a proper inverted trapezoid with a rectangular tool and fill it with black, as shown here:
4. Then use the new features provided by Fireworks MX "Burn tool" and "Dodge tool" to carbonization and add the high light in the proper place. In the use of these two tools must adjust the good parameters, start to neat, clean, weight also to master, in fact this step is more troublesome. After this operation there is the feeling of metal spiral, the appropriate scaling. Specific settings and effects as shown:
5. The metal spiral head, even if finished, then make the bulb body. Draw a circle with a circle tool, fill it with a light gray (#efefef), add some nodes to the lower end with the pen tool, and adjust the nodes as follows:
6. Use the Circle tool and pen tool to draw the following figure to select a certain feather fill.
7. The above figure is placed in the following diagram, add shadow effect, incandescent bulb can be done.
Such a frosted bulb is done. We can only make a little adjustment on this basis to form a transparent glass bulb.

1. Remove the gray bulb body of the matte bulb and see if it feels a little transparent!
The next process is easier.
2. Remove the fill color of the bulb body, add white to the sideline, use the blade tool to cut vertically from the middle, remove the shadow effect on the left, and adjust the angle of the shadow on the right. As shown in figure:
3. Next, use the Pen tool to draw some irregular shapes below, or adjust them using the secondary selection tool. The percentages shown below are their transparency. Arrange by position on the left.
4. Use the Rectangle tool to draw a small rectangular box, fill with white feather, adjust the nodes at the bottom, and remove the sideline. Then use the rounded rectangle tool to draw a small rectangular box with no padding, and then draw two lines with a pen or line tool, as shown in figure:
