Fireworks simple and powerful smear

There's a very powerful tool in fireworks-smudge tools

Maybe you don't use it, but if you appreciate the three cases, you may be tempted to pick up the mouse and try it!

Painting clouds

Select this path to flatten the path by Ctrl+shift+z.

Select the Smudge tool in the bitmap tool

Select the appropriate parameters. Note "Smudge" and "use entire document" are not selected.

Start smearing on the edge of the pattern

Note the direction of the mouse walk (this will affect the results of the smear)

You can change the "size", "pressure" and "edge" of the smear to reach the different styles of the cloud.

You can also select "Apply Color" to add the bright and dark parts of the cloud.

(in order not to affect the original image, painting the Ming and dark parts of the time, you can create a new bitmap to smear.) )

This will paint more realistic clouds.

Apply simulated ink to seep open

If you have ever tried using a filter to simulate the ink of a brush, you will find that you cannot control the degree of infiltration of a word in different places, that is, a filter can only be used for a single word.

Now let's look at how to use the smear to control the infiltration of the ink very well.

In the document to play a brush you like the word.

Select the word ctrl+shift+p to the path, and "Edge"-"feather" in the fill attribute to 1.

Clone the path, and then ctrl+shift+z it flat

(Vector objects are flattened before they can be smeared)

Using the "Smudge" tool, select the appropriate parameters to smear.

Apply the paint from the inside of the stroke to the outside, the area should not be too large

Hehe, I have no research on the relationship between the strokes of calligraphy and the infiltration of ink, which is not well painted. If you want to modify the smear that is too permeable, you can push the mouse from the outside of the stroke and push the color back.

Apply Wings

We can paint the wings of angels with Freehand brushwork. (or the wings of a bird, the angel has no Wings ghost know?)

Sketch out a triangle with a pen. And then press Ctrl+shift+z to flatten it.

Use a larger smudge and pressure to apply a rough outline.

Then use the smaller smear and pressure to apply the delicate feathers.

If you rub the color too much when you smear it, you can select the "smear" option in the "Smudge" attribute, and then apply the color to the patch.

Of course, angel wings are white.

Select the wings, mix the mode "invert", and then add a black filled rectangle to the rear of the wing, OK, a white chicken wing is completed.

The above three kinds of techniques are very easy to grasp, the key is the direction of the mouse movement and "smear" tool parameters related to the setting, this will depend on experience accumulation.

The Smudge tool can be used in this way:

Basic function: Play the role of smearing, feather the boundaries between different colors.

Brush function: When the "pressure" larger, the hook selected "Smear color", the equivalent of pressure-sensitive brush.

Rubber function: When the "pressure" is large, do not pick the "Apply Color", from the blank position to the color swatch, the equivalent of rubber.

Blending function: Place the color block on top of an image, check "Use entire document", smear the color block, then after the smear color block and image mix. (The original image is not affected)

Issues to be noted:

When the "pressure" is small, too much smear will reduce the transparency of the image and see the rear image.
