The new Auto Shape Properties panel in fireworks 8 makes us more free to control the automatic Shape object, while making the automatic Shape object more precise by adjusting the detail data.

The use of this panel is mainly done in two ways, one is to insert an automatic shape in the edit area directly by clicking the Single shape button of the Auto Shape button Group on the toolbox, and then use that panel to make changes to its properties, and you can insert another auto shape directly into the document from the Auto Shape Properties panel.

We can adjust them according to the specific properties of each shape on the edit area, and the properties of the different auto shapes vary. If you insert an arrow shape, you can change its width, height, thickness, roundness, arrow width, and so on. If you insert a doughnut shape, you can change the angle of its paragraph, its inner radius, the size of the outer radius, and so on.

However, do not know is the omission of Macromedia designers, or do not need to make adjustments, the Auto shape Properties panel of some automatic shape resizing, that is, "wide, high" adjustment does not and the property inspector on the "wide, high" adjustment. (This step can also be accomplished by clicking the Rounded Rectangle shape button on the toolbox)

2, according to the original master method, we can make an adjustment to the size of the rounded rectangle object, that is, by dragging the "size" of the yellow diamond adjustment point located in the lower right of the auto shape to achieve, so the advantage of dragging is fast, the disadvantage is inaccurate. If you need to adjust the size accurately, the "wide, high" numeric adjustment of the Auto Shapes Property panel can be set precisely.

3, if you need to make an adjustment to the corner shape, click on the corner rectangle object Four vertices of the yellow diamond adjustment can quickly adjust the corner shape, if you need to make a separate corner shape adjustment, with the keyboard "Alt" key, Click the yellow Diamond Adjustment box at the corner to make a separate adjustment to the shape of the corner, which is the method used by the fireworks version 2004 to extend to Fireworks8, which still works, but "Auto shape properties" For a finer and more precise adjustment of the corner shape and its size on the panel, look at the Red Line box in the figure below.
