First use of Maven in eclipse

When using Maven for the first time in Eclipse, right-project->add dependency and find that search is not working, you need to follow these steps:

Goto "Preferences-Maven"

Check "Download Repository index updates on start" and restart your eclipse. And then, on the Progress view, a index file is downloading.

After downloading completely, your artifacts search feature are ready for use.

UPDATE You also need to rebuild your MAVEN repository index in ' Maven repository view '.

In this view, open ' Global repositories ', right-click ' central ', check ' full Index Enable ', and then, click ' Rebuild Inde X ' in the same menu.

A 66M index file would be downloaded.
