Fit the Group Policy "Password Policy" rationally

To prevent users from using weak passwords, you can enforce the requirement that passwords must meet certain complexity conditions in Group Policy.

After opening Registry Editor, expand Computer configuration → Windows settings → security settings → account policy → password policy. Then open the minimum password length policy and set the password to be at least a length value, such as 8 characters, and click OK when you are set.

Create a new account and set it to a password that is shorter than the specified length, and the system will eject the warning dialog box to reject the setting.
