The Windows 2000/xp/2003 version of the operating system provides default sharing features, and these default shares have a "$" flag, meaning implied, including all logical disks (c$,d$,e$ ...). ) and system directory winnt or Windows (admin$).

  problems caused by :

Microsoft's intention is to facilitate the remote management of the network, although it is convenient for LAN users, but for our individual users such settings are not safe. If the computer is networked, anyone on the network can access your computer by sharing the hard drive. So it is necessary to close these shares. What's even more frightening is that hackers can access these default shares by connecting to your computer.

There are a lot of ways to turn off these default shares, the author has sorted out five kinds, I believe there is always a suitable for you.

  Small knowledge:

Accessing the Windows XP default share is very simple: first, through the "start" → "Run", enter "\ computer name or IP address \d$ or admin$" (excluding both sides of the quotation marks, the same below); second, use IE and other browsers, in the Address bar to enter the above format or "file:// 10.80.34.33/d$ "(as pictured).

One, right key "stop sharing" method

Right-click on a Shared item (such as h$) in the Computer Management window, select Stop sharing, and then close the share, and the following share icon disappears, and all items are repeated several times to stop sharing.

Note: But this approach is not a cure, and if the machine reboots, these shares will recover. This method is more suitable for servers that never shut down, simple and effective.

  ii. Batch Process self-priming method

Open Notepad and enter the following (remember to return to the end of each line):

NET share ipc$/delete
NET share admin$/delete
NET share C $/delete
NET share d$/delete
NET share e$/delete

...... (You have several hard disk partitions to write a few lines of such commands)

Save As Notshare.bat (Note suffix!) , and then drag the batch file to the program → start item so that it runs every time it is turned on, that is, the share is closed through the net command.

If one day you need to turn on some or some of the shares, just edit the batch file again (delete the corresponding command line).

Third, the registration table changes the key value method

"Start" → "Run" enter "regedit" OK, open Registry Editor, find "Hkey_local_machine\system\currentcontrolset\services\lanmanserver\ Parameters, double-click the "AutoShareServer" item in the right window to change the key value from 1 to 0, so that you can turn off sharing of partitions on your hard disk. If there is no AutoShareServer item, you can create a new one and then change the key value. Then still under this window to find "AutoShareWks" item, also the key value from 1 to 0, turn off admin$ sharing. Finally, find "RestrictAnonymous" at the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa" item, set the key value to 1, and turn off ipc$ sharing.

Note: This method must reboot the machine, but will never be shared once the change is made.

  Iv. Cessation of Service Law

Or in the Computer Management window, click Expand Services and applications on the left and select services, and all service items are listed on the right. The name of the shared service is "Server" (the name in the process is services), and when you find it, double-click it, and in the General tab that pops up, change the startup type from the original automatic to Disabled. Then click the "Stop" button on the "Service status" below to confirm it and OK.

  V. Uninstall the "File and Printer Sharing" method

Right-click My Network Places select Properties in the Network and dial-up Connections window that pops up, right-click Local Area Connection, select Properties, and select the File and printer sharing for Microsoft network from this connection using the selected components below, click the Uninstall button below and confirm.

Note: The biggest flaw in this method is that when you right-click on a folder, the "share" in the pop-up shortcut menu disappears because the corresponding feature service has been uninstalled!
